Steatite Limited is pleased to announce that it acquired the entire issued share capital of Geneva, Switzerland, based RZ Pressure Instruments Supply SARL (“RZ”) in December 2007.
RZ Pressure is a leading European battery pack manufacturer serving principally the oil & gas industry. The addition of RZ Pressure to our Steatite Batteries business has made us the largest supplier in Europe of Electrochem products and strengthens our international customer base in the oil & gas market.
Since Solid State’s acquisition of Steatite Limited in 2002 our strategy has been to develop our core businesses in batteries, components and computing. The addition of industrial computer supplier Wordsworth Technology Limited in 2005 and now RZ helps us further this strategy. We continue to seek further acquisitions in components to enhance our core component business.
RZ Pressure Limited has over 25 years experience in the design and manufacture of specialist battery packs mainly for the Petrochemical, Oil and Gas Industry and other extreme demand applications.
