Thanks to its thermal design the P1001 module is able to be cooled flawlessly meaning that it can operate at wide temperatures in the most harsh of environments. At its core, the P1001 module  is powered by the latest Intel Baytrail E3845 (1.91GHz) quad core processor, consuming no more than 10 Watts of power makes it ideal for the industrial sector. You will also be provided with a wealth of I/O on the P1001 module, whether you require serial ports, Ethernet ports or display ports, the CDS industrial Panel PC has them all and much more. These industrial Panel PCs also gives you the option to include up to 4GB DDR3 memory along with support for a range of different storage mediums depending on your application requirements. This range of industrial panel pcs also supports various forms of mounting, including  VESA mount, Panel mount, Wall Mount & even Stand Mount.

Steatite & Beckett Energy Systems sign a European Distribution Agreement to supply UN Approved Advanced Battery Technology

Steatite Limited, a specialist in the design and manufacture of custom Lithium battery pack solutions, has signed a European distribution agreement with Beckett Energy Systems (BES). This collaboration gives Steatite the ability to provide a UN approved, 24Vdc battery pack module, ideally suited to energy storage and portable power applications.

Brad Moore, Senior Business Development Manager at BES commented: “We are excited about partnering with Steatite to increase the visibility and penetration of our lithium-ion battery solution in the European Union. The value of a highly scalable, long cycle life and light weight lithium-ion solution adds another product dimension for Steatite and we have high confidence in them for a mutually beneficial future.”

Paul Edwards, Divisional Director at Steatite commented: “We are delighted to be partnering with Beckett Energy Systems on the distribution of their lithium ion battery module. This agreement will enable Steatite to provide local European distribution for the Beckett Energy battery module which will be an excellent choice for energy storage and remote power applications in Marine and Defence Markets. 24 volt large format lithium-ion module…

The batteries are modular in design and offer a greater flexibility when designing a solution to meet specific power requirements. Offering the high energy density and light weight of lithium-ion battery solutions, this battery module provides the OEM with an ‘off the shelf’ solution, eliminating the costs associated with design NRE and qualification. Scalable from 1-100 kWh of capacity, customers can be confident in the long cycle life of Beckett’s lithium-ion battery module with Boston-Power cells.

UN Approved for safe transportation…

Compliant with UN38.3 shipping regulations for lithium-ion batteries, the Beckett Model 8224S Li-ion Battery Module can now be shipped by any means (air freight – cargo, ground, sea vessel and rail) to all countries recognising the UN standard.

10-Year Cycle Life achieved…

Commercially launched in February 2014, Beckett’s 24Vdc lithium-ion battery module has undergone continuous life cycle testing, recently reaching 3,650 cycles – the equivalent of 10 years of life if cycled daily. This significantly long cycle life milestone further supports its use as an ideal solution for emerging advanced energy products.

“Long cycle life leads to fewer battery replacements over time, reduces system downtime, and lowers the need for spare battery packs, allowing Beckett Energy to offer a low total cost of ownership lithium-ion battery solution for our customers,” states Brad Moore, Senior Business Development Manager at BES.  “Through extensive testing of the Boston-Power cell in our commercial model 8224S, 1.1kWh module, we are able to demonstrate this long cycle life milestone.”

The Company is pleased to announce its participation at this year’s EMC UK, conference and exhibition event held at Newbury Racecourse, Newbury, UK 6th and 7th October. Stand number 38.

Steatite provides waveguide COTS antennas 400 MHz to 40 GHz and bespoke antenna solutions for precision measurement applications including EMC radiated and immunity testing. Providing antennas that allow multi-octave frequency sweeps with a single unit, whilst high gain antennas offer low side lobes and consistent performance. The demand for high field strengths is catered for by a suite of HiRF antennas that produce field strengths of 3 to 4 dB. A unique focussing arrangement of the antennas means it is possible to produce fields of 3000 V / m using 3kW amplifiers, resulting in reduced system costs.

EMC technology is relevant to all industries, and can affect every piece of electronic & electrical equipment, and it can seriously affect the design cycle, delay production and time to market. The conference is an ideal place to keep up to date with the new directives, components, test techniques, test equipment and latest EMC Modelling software. Participation at DSEI and AOC EW Convention

The Company is pleased to announce its involvement at DSEI London 15th – 18th September, 2015, the world leading defence and security exhibition and the annual AOC EW Convention at Washington DC in December, 2015. This closely follows Steatite’s participation at the recent AOC EW Europe Convention at Stockholm during May, 2015.

During DSEI, Steatite Q-par Antennas will be located at stand number N4-292 and participating at the AOC EW Pavilion taking the opportunity to present its wide range of EW and SIGINT antenna capabilities including ultra-wideband omnidirectional, sinuous, spiral antennas and tripod mounted antenna positioners with wideband reflector / feed combinations. A regular exhibitor at the AOC event at Washington DC, the Company will be located at stand number 237 and Rob Lowther, Steatite’s Sales and Marketing Manager will be in attendance with colleagues from Q-par USA, the Company’s exclusive USA based distributor.
